Target Dollar Bin Flip Flops

Lookie what I found in the Target "dolla" bin this morning!

These flip flops are for my son (not embellished).I used these neat hair ties to embellish my patriaotic dollar Old Navy flip flops for my daughter!

I folded some of the ribbon over and hot glued and also trimmed some to make it fuller and smaller. I also tied some red tulle strips on the flip flops as well as glued buttons. I always use E6000 to attach bows and crystals to flip flops.

Also had to make some matching bows!

I wish you all have a safe and wonderful Memorial day! I hope to enjoy some good family time and lots of swimming...and eating! :)

Entire Surfer Room

Here are more pics of my son's room. I put most of it together 3 years ago before I had a blog. We decided to go with the bunk beds because his room is also our "guest room", and it really has been a great purchase. We keep the ladder down so he doesn't go on the top (at least when I am looking.) Both the bedding and bed are from Baby USA (not so frugal, but they have lasted 3 moves in 3 years!)

This table was my very first DIY project. I couldn't find any stylish affordable kid furniture so I came up with this table. It started out from a thrift store in white and pink stripes. I painted it and used these vinyl decals from target, and then painted a clear coat over. It's been such a fun space for him!

I recently made these raffia window valances by tying two layers of raffia skirting (ordered from Amazon) to plain metal valances. I did this for both windows. One of my fav things in the room is the wood ore above the window :)

I've been collecting accessories from Goodwill, Ross, and Marshall's over the years.

I love how the toy box remodel came out. You can see the before here

I am pretty much obsessed with creative and stylish kid rooms! This one has been such a joy to put together for my son. I hope he lets me create his rooms for as long as possible :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Lemonade Stand & Free Printables

My hubby and I have been meaning to organize the garage and have a yard sale for quite some time and avoiding it all together! Finally we got ourselves together and just got it done before it would be too hot in Phoenix. I was dreading this weekend, but actually it was kinda fun :) Lots of quality family time and reminicing. I have a hard time getting rid of our baby stuff but honestly to be able to actually park in the garage is awesome!!

Here is a last min quick lemonade stand my kids were thrilled to put together with me. I had a left over posterboard already so I put together this fun sign with ribbon I also already had. I found fantastic free lemonade stand printables from Trillustrations, and Wendolonia . Thanks so much to both of these blogs for sharing their talents! Make sure to check them both out :)

My kids had a blast and their stand looked so cute and stylish. We even sat out some "Manager Special" clearance cookies for the occasion! I love Fry's.

Also. the free printable from Wendolonia is supposed to be for marmalade lables but actually it doubles as cool modern wall art for my new lemon fetish!
