A Very Rainbow 4th Birthday Party

I've been a little bit MIA lately on the blog and this is why! This party consumed my life for the last week, and then editing all these pics was a whole different task!...But I got it all done so get ready for a long 4th birthday rainbow part post. When my daughter said she wanted a rainbow party I was so excited! I envisioned a girly frilly and fun colorful party.
Lets start with the invites,..I made a simple colorful invitation on PicMonkey and then hand delivered with balloons. The girls were thrilled!

My table and backdrop turned out pretty great I think.

Hanging is a large piece of blue fabric from Goodwill ($1), and yep those are pool noodles turned rainbow! The clouds are tissue paper poms. Colorful streamers complete the look from above.

This is the outfit I made for my daughter. I embellished a plain tank top with ribbon and buttons.
I made a bunch of these hair clippies and turned them into party favors.
To make them cut a 3 inch piece of rainbow ribbon (from Michael's). Hot glue one end to the back of the lined clip and the other end to the front.. Finish wiith small white poms from the craft store. So easy and cute. I made a little printable for the Rain"bow" favors..

I made 8 little tutus by tying rainbow colored tulle to elastic. A tip I learned from the nice lady at Hobby Lobby was to roll up a large piece of tulle like wrapping paper and then make 6 inch cuts with scissors. They come out perfect! I hung mine with clothespins by my dessert table as decor. At the end I managed to get a cute group pic of the girls in their tutus.

Of course I had to paint rainbows on her toes :0

My felt rainbow wreath looked great on the table. See the tutorial here.

So lets talk about the sweets! The cake was from Fry's grocery, I piped the rainbow sugar cookies. I made rainbow colored pudding with instant vanilla and food coloring. Those flavored licorice & Rolos are very fun inspired by Pinterest specifically this one by Our Best Bites.

These rainbow cupcakes were my favorite! I bought a bunch of these kits from Target at 75% off after Easter. And I knew to look for them after seeing Lilluna"s version for St. Patty's Day. I iced with blue frosting, and then placed the rainbows, then added white for clouds.
Yay for cute rainbow colored food!
The kids and I had fun painting rainbows on paper plates and hanging them outside for the party. Those are Target Dollar bin bracelets on a painted thrift store mug holder.

Rainbow bubbles from the dollar store. And these were free printable hats via Paper Glitter are awesome. They have a whole set of free rainbow printables. I added red poms at the top.
I set up a snow cone station and the kids LOVED it so much..Well the adults did too!
I plan to share more details about this snow cone set up in a future post :)
What a wonderful memory for my kids. My daughter felt super special and loved by all our friends and family. I can't believe she's four though! :)
Thanks for stopping by the rainbow party!! xo
